Additive Manufacturing Engineer

Conflux Technology specialises in the use of metal additive manufacturing (AM) to achieve significant improvements in heat exchange applications. Conflux Technology is in an exciting growth phase and have an opportunity for an Additive Manufacturing Engineer to join their growing team.

This is a key manufacturing position reporting to the Production Operations Manager and will be responsible for the timely throughput of the manufacturing processes for their internal and external customer base. Your role will ensure Conflux meet key project deliverables while maintaining internal standards, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction through On Time Delivery.

Responsibilities and Key Tasks:

  • Undertake AM tasks such as design evaluation, including aesthetics, useability and impact, data preparation and large file size management handling.
  • Customer focused delivery of all AM work packages and related activities, including project reporting and technical liaison as required.
  • Preparation, program, operation and maintenance of AM projects which include measurement, post processing and testing equipment to output components to exact specifications of project requirements.
  • Process 3D model print requests, including reviewing files, validating printability, notification of exceptions and the establishment and communication of printing schedules.
  • Assist with the maintenance and calibration of equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Performing required build and post processing activities to enable to smooth workflow through the production environment.
  • Conduct inspections and testing of parts to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
  • Assist with planning for and procurement of new equipment (AM, post processing, testing, in-house machining) and implementation of process controls to meet customer requirements.
  • Working with engineering staff to continually develop, implement and improve relevant procedures and processes.

This is a Full Time position, based on 38 hours per week, with flexiblie start and finish times available, and remuneration commensurate with your qualifications, skills and experience. Due to the nature of additive manufacturing some work outside standard hours including weekends will be required from time to time.
