Potential Occupational Therapy is a small local business based across Geelong and Ballarat providing Occupational Therapy services to their wonderful clients. Potential OT’s goal is to assist and support their clients to achieve their BIG dreams.

Potential OT have experienced significant continued growth in the Ballarat area and with a waitlist of clients, are looking to grow the team with a new Occupational Therapist.  This is an exciting opportunity for the right individual to join a team of passionate healthcare professionals and be supported professionally to grow in their career.

About the Role

Reporting to the Director and senior team members, responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Provide Occupational Therapy services in the community to clients receiving funding through various funding packages primarily NDIS.
  • Use a strengths-based approach to identify the client’s abilities, skills and interests.
  • Identify client functional limitations and challenges to improve functional performance and participation.
  • Design, document and implement agreed care plans that promote the client’s independence and participation in personal, domestic, community goals.
  • Work closely with and communicate with a patient’s care team, including other allied health professionals and advisers to ensure plans are correct.
  • Work closely with carers and families in the development and review of client goals.
  • Provide excellent service delivery
  • Manage the administration, notes and client communication of all cases in a timely manner.

POT are open to taking on new graduates in a Therapy Assistant capacity whilst waiting for APHRA registration to be completed.

About You

Potential OT are seeking an enthusiastic Therapist(s) who have a passion for making a difference in their client’s life.

You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail.

As a friendly, caring, and professional therapist you are motivated by what you do and enjoy supporting your clients to maximise their independence and participation. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced work environment.

Applications are welcome from both experienced therapists and those in the early stages of their career including recent graduates with a supervision and graduate plan in place

The Musts

  • Relevant degree in Occupational Therapy
  • AHPRA registration (or pending registration)
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills
  • Current driver’s license and reliable car
  • NDIS workers screening
  • Current Police Check and Working with Children’s Check
  • Professional Indemnity Insurance
