Senior Psychologist

At Sage Psychology & Assessment, they are passionate about providing accessible, evidence-based psychological care to regional communities while creating a workplace where clinicians can build meaningful, long-term careers.

As their practice continues to grow, Sage are seeking an experienced Senior Psychologist who enjoys clinical leadership just as much as working directly with clients.

About Sage Psychology & Assessment

They are a locally owned multidisciplinary practice providing psychology and occupational therapy services to children, adolescents and adults throughout Central Queensland.

Sage have intentionally created a workplace built on authenticity, collaboration and continuous learning.

Their team enjoys working together. They openly share ideas, support one another through challenges and celebrate achievements along the way. It’s a culture they have built intentionally, and they are looking for someone who’ll value it just as much as they do.

About the role (Full or Part Time, ideally min. 3 days)

This newly created Senior Psychologist position has been designed to strengthen the clinical leadership within their growing practice.

Alongside your clinical work, you’ll have the opportunity to mentor others, contribute to service development and help shape the future direction of Sage Psychology.

Key responsibilities include:

·       Providing evidence-based psychological assessment and intervention

·       Working with children, adolescents and adults

·       Conducting psychological assessments and preparing reports

·       Providing supervision and mentoring to provisional psychologists and students

·       Supporting clinical governance and service development initiatives

·       Contributing to multidisciplinary collaboration

·       Helping foster a positive learning culture within the team

About you

Sage are looking for someone who enjoys sharing knowledge just as much as learning from others.

You work confidently and independently, communicate openly and value being part of a connected team.

Ideally, you’ll bring:

·       General registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA

·       Approximately 3-5 years’ post-registration experience (or equivalent experience suitable for a senior role)

·       Strong clinical judgement and autonomous practice

·       Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

·       A collaborative approach to working within a multidisciplinary team

·       A genuine interest in mentoring and supporting other clinicians

·       Commitment to lifelong learning and continuous professional development

·       Board Approved Supervisor status would be highly regarded but isn’t essential.

Experience working with children, couples, psychometric assessments or eating disorders would also be welcomed, however they are ultimately looking for the right person rather than someone who simply ticks every box.

Why join Sage?

Sage know experienced psychologists have choices.

What they offer is the opportunity to genuinely influence a growing regional practice while being supported by a collaborative team that values quality clinical work, healthy relationships and sustainable careers.

Their team enjoys:

·       Full-time or part-time opportunities

·       Option of a nine-day fortnight

·       Professional Development allowance

·       Clinical leadership opportunities

·       Structured supervision and mentoring

·       Realistic KPIs

·       A collaborative and supportive workplace culture

·       The opportunity to help shape the future of mental health care in regional Queensland

If you’re looking for a practice where you’ll be supported, valued and encouraged to contribute beyond your clinical work, then apply now.
